AB Charity Foundation Sets Sail, Exploring a New Global Philanthropy Paradigm of "Institutional Trust + Technology-driven"

The AB Charity Foundation recently announced its official launch and the release of a new version of its website, marking the official establishment of a global public welfare network based on "institutional trust" and following a "technology-driven" path. The AB Charity Foundation is an international nonprofit organization headquartered in Ireland with independent legal personality, aiming to collaborate with global governments, charities, and the tech community to reshape the future public trust mechanism and promote sustainable development.
The governance structure of the AB Charity Foundation is composed of statesmen from multiple countries. The Chairman of the Board is Bertie Ahern, three-time former Prime Minister of Ireland and a key driver of the "Northern Ireland Peace Agreement." Board members include former Prime Minister of Malta Lawrence Gonzi, former Prime Minister of Hungary Péter Medgyessy, former President of Slovenia Danilo Türk, and former President of Bulgaria Petar Stoyanov.
The AB Charity Foundation is continuously building a high-level advisory team, with well-known politicians, scientists, and celebrities from five continents joining to provide global policy alignment and on-the-ground charitable activities for the foundation. Focusing on the public mission, it aims to empower global philanthropy with technology.
As the initiator and technical support provider of the AB Charity Foundation, the AB DAO offers underlying blockchain infrastructure support. The AB public chain automatically injects 15%–30% of each transaction's Gas fee into the charity fund through smart contracts and implements end-to-end transparent governance of "on-chain charity fundraising + automatic distribution + full-chain visibility + third-party auditing." Additionally, the AB Eco Fund has currently invested in dozens of high-quality projects and will continue to nurture and invest in more high-quality projects, with 15%–30% of the investment returns from all projects also being injected into the AB Charity Foundation fund.
The core mission of the AB Charity Foundation is to promote global public causes such as education, healthcare, environmental protection, and humanitarian aid, relying on a transparent and trustworthy governance mechanism and technological path to explore a "verifiable goodwill cooperation model." The foundation emphasizes that "what changes the world is not a particular technology itself, but the consensus on trusted institutions and global cooperation," which is a shared understanding among the founding members.

Bloomberg: As Bitcoin Weakens, Stablecoins and RWA Continue to Drive Expansion in Crypto Businesses
In June, Bloomberg reported that despite Bitcoin falling below $60,000 last week, wiping out about $235 billion in market value within seven days, and dropping close to 50% from last year’s peak, some core businesses in the crypto industry are still expanding, mainly in stablecoins, real-world asset tokenization (RWA), payments, and infrastructure. The report also noted that overall altcoin activity has contracted significantly: altcoin market capitalization has fallen from a peak of about $431 billion in November 2021 to around $170 billion, and among the tens of millions of tokens issued in recent years, fewer than 1,700 still maintain meaningful trading activity.
